The Outer Banks Aviators picked up a win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Death Valley Scorpions, 5-4. Starting pitcher Joe Kelly was a big reason why. The win puts Outer Banks at 11-10.

Outer Banks used the timely hitting of Xorge Garbanzo to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Aviators ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Joe is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Outer Banks manager .
