The Providence Crabs extended their winning streak.
Providence turned a good effort from starter Iceman into a win over the Death Valley Scorpions at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. The final score was 8-1. The loss has the Scorpions at 14-7.
Seymour Baltz had a big run-scoring double for the Crabs in the top of the third inning. With Providence leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Guy Roussy, who finished 3rd in the Champions in innings pitched with 181.1 in 2073, and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Crabs ahead, 3-1.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Iceman after the game.
