Boise starter PK-VS pitched well against the Indianapolis Apex at The Brickyard. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-1. PK-VS, the winner, moves to 3-2. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up no walks. Romeo McFlourish picked up the save for Boise, his 3rd of the year.
Boise used the timely hitting of Rodrigo Wallach to capture the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Raptors on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"I really like what we did out there today," Wallach said after the game.
Indianapolis is now 8-13.
