Apex Rally Late to Nip Vandals

The Indianapolis Apex defeated the Vancouver Vandals, 4-3, at The Thunderdome. Leading the charge for Indianapolis was designated hitter Moe Scatoes. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Apex improved their record to 14-8 by beating Vancouver.
Scatoes had a timely hit for Indianapolis in the top of the ninth. With Indianapolis trailing 3-1, he turned a 1-1 circle change into a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Indianapolis.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Scatoes. "And not try to do too much."
