Sea Serpents Down Voyagers, 2-1
|
Mejiro McQueen, who leads the Champions in innings pitched with 43.1, was in top form in a tight contest between Seattle and New York. The Sea Serpents left-hander helped his team beat the Voyagers, 2-1. Seattle pitcher Kip Treadwell earned the win, hiking his record to 4-2. Ransom Jones suffered the loss. The Voyagers have now dropped 5 straight.
The decisive blow was delivered by Bookie Metts in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off fan favorite Ransom Jones to win the game for Seattle. The home crowd went nuts.
"This wasn't a good win," said McQueen. "It was a great win."
