Usada Pekora never let Buffalo get something going. The Cancun right-hander commanded his circle change in pitching the Toros to a 2-0 win. Pekora, now 5-0, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing no runs. With the win, Cancun pushed its record to 13-9.

The Toros got a big hit from second baseman Tyler Detherage. In the bottom of the fifth, Detherage pounded a solo home run to center. His 9th home run of the season put the Toros ahead, 2-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Pekora told the Cancun Chronicle.
