Road Win Lifts New York to 1-0 Lead in DS
Taylor Adkins and the New York Voyagers opened the Divisional Series in brilliant fashion, traveling to Providence and shutting out the host Crabs at The Pot, 3-0, to secure an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Adkins, the Voyagers right-hander, threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball.

Isuro Tanaka, who finished 2nd in the Legends in batting average with .338 in 2074, had a direct impact on the outcome. Tanaka contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put New York up, 2-0.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager .

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Pot in Providence.
