Road Win Lifts Brew City to 2-1 Lead in FR
When he got to Brew City, Xavier Zickafoose was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the First Round.

The 21-year-old rookie left-hander shut out the host Chicago Kingpins, 2-0, in a remarkable performance at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. With the win, the Bears took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-5 First Round.

Zickafoose, a native of The United States, was dealing all game. He kept Chicago hitters off-balance, while giving the Bears 9 quality innings. Zickafoose threw 98 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 7.

"Xavier is a tough competitor," said Brew City manager .

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium in Providence.
