The Kansas City Hepcats and the Louisville Lemurs will take the First Round to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Hepcats beat the Lemurs, 6-5, at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Kansas City left fielder Red Panda went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times.

Theodor Geisel drew 1 walk for Kansas City. With no one out and the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, Geisel had a clutch at-bat. Facing Louisville hurler Owain Gambit-Ahead, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Hepcats a 5-4 lead.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Panda, "but a win in the playoffs is nothing to sniff at."

Game 5 is scheduled for Friday at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good in Providence.
