Divisional Series Game 1 Victory for Bummus and Death Valley
The Death Valley Scorpions started the Divisional Series in style today, downing the visiting Nashville Stars at Cari Price Memorial Stadium by a score of 5-2 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Scorpions left-hander Always A. Bummus threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball.

In his 86-pitch effort, Bummus allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 6.1 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 10.

"Always A. was throwing strikes, locating well," said Death Valley manager .

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Cari Price Memorial Stadium in Providence.
