The home crowd had a good time watching the Seattle Sea Serpents and Providence Crabs get after it.

Providence pitcher Joe Random did his part in helping his team beat the Seattle Sea Serpents, 6-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Randy Colón was credited with the save for Providence, his 6th of the season.

The Crabs got a big at-bat from left fielder Beryl Summers. For the game, Summers went 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 10th double of the season gave Providence a 2-1 lead.

Said losing manager : "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."

The Crabs improved their record to 13-9 with the win over Seattle.
