Road Win Lifts Death Valley to 1-0 Lead in DS
The Death Valley Scorpions started the Divisional Series in dominant fashion, blowing out the host Seattle Sea Serpents at The Aquadome by a score of 11-4 and securing an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Scorpions third baseman Xicoyotl Montalbán went 3-5 with 3 doubles and a walk, while scoring 4 and driving in 2.

The Scorpions had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the sixth. The score was 10-1, Death Valley, with no one out. Seattle, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Zak Johnson III dug in at the plate, but on a full count fastball, he grounded out.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Aquadome in Providence.
