Smalls, Scorpions Wallop Sea Serpents in Game 3 of DS
The Death Valley Scorpions moved to within one game of the Conference Finals, downing the Seattle Sea Serpents on the road at The Aquadome by a score of 6-2. Scorpions left fielder Smalls went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win gives the Scorpions a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Divisional Series.

Death Valley used a well-timed hit by Ted Giannoulas to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Scorpions ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Said Death Valley manager : "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Aquadome in Providence.
