Raucous Cari Price Memorial Stadium Crowd Propels Scorpions to 4-1 Victory; Series Tied at 2
|
The Death Valley Scorpions and the Indianapolis Apex will take the Divisional Series to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation today, the Scorpions beat the Apex 4-1 at Cari Price Memorial Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Death Valley left-hander Always A. Bummus had a big role in the win. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball.
The Apex had trouble solving Bummus, who surrendered 1 run on 2 hits over 6.1 innings.
Bummus said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 23rd , 2072 at The Brickyard in Providence.
