Kingpins Hammered by Whacker, Drop Game 3 to Swift Steeds
Riding the 2-hit performance of designated hitter Willy Whacker, the State College Swift Steeds stopped the visiting Chicago Kingpins, 8-5, in Game 3 of the First Round. Whacker went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Swift Steeds , who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 1.

Whacker contributed in the bottom of the first. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped State College get the win.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager said.
