Muffin Helps Anchorage Take First Round Game 1
The First Round got off to a quiet start, with the host Anchorage Wheelers taking a low-scoring, 3-2 win over the Chicago Kingpins. Anchorage right-hander Scud Muffin was marvelous at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. The Wheelers now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series.

Henry Magik took Chicago hurler Joseph Mathys Hendry deep in the bottom of the seventh. His solo home run put the Wheelers on top, 3-2. In all, Magik had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"Felt great, felt really good," said Muffin.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo in Providence.
