The Anchorage Wheelers and the Chicago Kingpins will take the First Round to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Wheelers beat the Kingpins, 7-2, at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Anchorage right-hander Scud Muffin had a big role in the win. He threw 8.2 innings of 6-hit ball.

Anchorage used the timely hitting of Joey Maxx to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Wheelers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager .

The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 24th , 2074 at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo in Providence.
