The Anchorage Wheelers started the First Round in style, winning on the road against the Louisville Lemurs at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle by a score of 9-3 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Wheelers designated hitter Robin Banks excelled. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.

Rex Jordan helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Anchorage a 1-0 lead.

"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said Banks.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle in Providence.
