Lemurs Advance to Semi-FInals
|
The Louisville Lemurs are heading to the Semi-FInals, having narrowly defeated the Brew City Bears.
Louisville edged Brew City in the series 3-2, with a win at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle in the clinching game by a 7-6 margin.
Daniel Montgomery turned in a strong offensive performance for the Lemurs and got series MVP for his efforts.
"I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a World Series win."
It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Montgomery continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance.
For the series, he hit .278 with a .409 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Semi-FInals matchups and schedule will be announced after the First Round finishes.
