Almost There: Brew City On Cusp of SF Triumph After 7-6 Win
|
Despite a great performance by Florida center fielder Jimmy Lumber, the Brew City Bears defeated the Flamingos by the score of 7-6 at Florida Man Park. Lumber was 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 3 walks. He scored 3 times, but he could not prevent the Bears from moving one game closer to the World Series. Brew City now leads the Semi-FInals 3-1.
Brew City used a clutch at-bat from Durian Crag to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Bears ahead, 7-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I felt good up there," said Crag. "I saw the ball well."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Florida Man Park in Providence.
