Hayden Andrews Jr., who finished 2nd in the Champions in RBI with 90 in 2071, had a direct impact on the outcome. Andrews Jr. contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Buffalo up, 3-1.

In postgame comments to the Buffalo Citizen, Boss III said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
