First Round Goes the Distance, Chicago Prevails
In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Chicago Kingpins have edged the Brew City Bears.

The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested First Round, with a 2-1 win in the clincher being the difference for Chicago and giving them the ticket to the Semi-FInals with a 3-2 series triumph.

"We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Troy Monopolitzki, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Monopolitzki hit .333 with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Semi-FInals matchups and schedule will be announced after the First Round finishes.
