Florida Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
|
The Florida Flamingos have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Brew City Bears, winning, 4-1, at Florida Man Park. Flamingos right-hander Stetson Mixon threw 7.1 innings allowing 1 run. The win cuts the deficit facing the Flamingos to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Semi-FInals.
Florida right fielder Tung Tung Tung Sahur helped the Flamingos go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Sahur hit a solo home run off Brew City pitcher Joseph Kelley.
"I like our moxie," said Flamingos manager .
Game 6 is scheduled for Wednesday at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House in Providence.
