The Death Valley Scorpions defeated the Detroit Demons, 2-0, in Game 2 of the Conference Finals. Doing his part was starter Always A. Bummus, who threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The win moves Death Valley into a 1-1 tie with Detroit in the series.

Bummus worked his mojo for Death Valley. The hard-throwing left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7 innings of work.

"Always A. gave us a heck of an effort," said Death Valley manager .

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Cari Price Memorial Stadium in Providence.
