Vancouver Pins 3-0 Loss on Death Valley
|
The Vancouver Vandals got an exceptional performance from starter Holly Sheet, who silenced the Death Valley offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 2 of the World Series. The Scorpions could never get a bead on the left-handed Sheet, who threw 8.1 innings of shutout ball. The Vandals now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Sheet gave Vancouver a solid start. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 8.1 innings.
"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Sheet said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, October 17th , 2073 at Cari Price Memorial Stadium in Providence.
