Louisville Tops Kansas City Again, 5-1
|
With starter Colby Renslow leading the charge, the Louisville Lemurs defeated the Kansas City Hepcats, 5-1, in Game 2 of the Semi-FInals today. The left-hander threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark to help Louisville take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Louisville relied on the hitting of Jennie B. Pink to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Lemurs on top, 3-1. For the game, Pink had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Renslow told a Louisville Today reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Kenny Payne Appreciation Stadium in Providence.
