Road Win Lifts Brew City to 1-0 Lead in WS
The Brew City Bears powered past the hometown Kansas City Hepcats, 6-2, in the opener of the World Series at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark today. Brew City starting pitcher Professor Croakwell threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Bears now lead the series 1-0.

Brew City used the bat of Geoff Bass to capture the win. The third baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bears ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"Professor was throwing strikes, locating well," said Brew City manager .

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark in Providence.
