Semi-FInals Game 1 Goes to Brew City, Thanks to Akiyama
The Brew City Bears started the Semi-FInals in style, downing the visiting Kansas City Hepcats at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House by a score of 7-3 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Bears third baseman Yoshinori Akiyama went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5.

A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the first. That's when Akiyama hit a cutter from FireBob Nutting for a 2-run single, putting Brew City up, 3-0.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Akiyama said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House in Providence.
