Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the Conference Finals, the Death Valley Scorpions could not close the deal.
Game 4 went into extra frames and the Cancun Toros emerged victorious, taking a 11-inning, 2-1 win. Cancun pitcher Ryan Lee threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball in the win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium to drag the Toros back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.
Cancun took advantage of an error in the top of the 11th inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Feka Ohi Kau hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Toros in front, 2-1.
"Every loss stings," said Death Valley manager . "This one is no exception."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Cari Price Memorial Stadium in Providence.
