When the games really matter, the Buffalo Surge put on their best show, beating the Death Valley Scorpions by a final score of 6-5 today. Ted Giannoulas went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Buffalo now leads Death Valley 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Buffalo first baseman Kerry Keli, facing Billy TheKid, had a run-scoring double. It gave the Surge the 6-5 win.

"This place was jumping at the end," Keli said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Power House in Providence.
