Almost There: Buffalo On Cusp of World Series Triumph After 9-6 Win
The Buffalo Surge defeated the Death Valley Scorpions, 9-6 in Game 4 of the World Series today. A big contributor was designated hitter Manny Alou, who was 1-2 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win moves Buffalo into a 3-1 lead in the series.

Zen Bobrist, the Buffalo right fielder, contributed a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 4-1, Surge. For the game, Bobrist was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"We'll savor this win," Alou told the Buffalo Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."
