Critical Game 5 Goes to Host Sea Serpents, 4-3
|
Game 5 was big. So was Mejiro McQueen.
In leading Seattle to a crucial 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Vandals at The Aquadome, the Seattle starter rose to the occasion, tossing 6.2 good innings. McQueen threw 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs as the Sea Serpents defended their home field to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 World Series.
Seattle third baseman Bradley Wellerman Jr. helped the Sea Serpents go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Wellerman Jr. hit a run-scoring single off Vancouver pitcher M4XX V3L0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said McQueen.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 22nd , 2074 at The Thunderdome in Providence.
