Vandals Fall Short, 1-0, at Toronto
|
The Lodge was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
The Toronto Pathfinders used a great performance from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Smoki Zazaki to beat the Vancouver Vandals, 1-0, at The Lodge. The winner was Zazaki. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Xavier Zickafoose. Bodhi Grizz picked up his 1st save of the season.
Lucas Ryan took Vancouver hurler Xavier Zickafoose deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Pathfinders on top, 1-0. In all, Ryan had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We found a way to get it done," Ryan said.
The victory makes Toronto 5-18.
