Reeves Leads Scorpions to 8-1 Win Over Rougarous
The Death Valley Scorpions bested the New Orleans Rougarous, 8-1, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Bass Reeves was one of the standouts. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Billy TheKid, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 8 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 3-3. The win puts Death Valley at 13-10 this season.

Ted Giannoulas dealt the Rougarous a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Death Valley leading 1-0, Giannoulas, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2065, hit a full count curveball for a 2-run single.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Reeves.
