Vandals Beat Boise, 5-4
|
The Vancouver Vandals bested the Boise Raptors by a score of 5-4, with center fielder Steven Strange getting the main credit. On the day, Strange went 3-4 with 3 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Vandals. Vancouver reliever M4XX V3L0 got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Frosty Steele was tagged with the loss. Vancouver is now 13-10, 2½ games up in the Legends Conference West.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Strange hit a circle change from Frosty Steele for a run-scoring double. The Vandals, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Vancouver manager .
