The Cancun Toros routed the Seattle Sea Serpents, 12-3, at The Aquadome. Victor Cortez, who finished 3rd in the Champions in doubles with 44 last year, was one of the hitting stars. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Cancun. Cancun leads the Champions Conference West by 2 games.

The Sea Serpents had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Toros going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old shortstop Ejecto Seato came to the plate. Seato hit a 2-run triple on a full count cutter from Seattle hurler Talk O'Bell. It was Seato's 2nd triple of the year.
