McKenzie, Cancun Open DS Strong with 5-1 Win
The Cancun Toros started the Divisional Series in style today, downing the visiting Death Valley Scorpions at El Coliseo de los Toros by a score of 5-1 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Toros designated hitter Kurtis McKenzie went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when McKenzie, who finished 2nd in the Champions in OPS with .995 in 2065, hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Toros into the lead, 3-0.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said McKenzie.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at El Coliseo de los Toros in Providence.
