Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Cancun Toros and Seattle Sea Serpents.

The Seattle Sea Serpents could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Hercules Mulligan into a win. Instead, the Cancun Toros prevailed, 5-3. Mulligan threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Cancun reliever Roquefort Cotswald snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Harlem Moncrief shouldered the loss.

Cancun took a 5-2 lead on Sting Eucliffe's 7th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Eucliffe hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Seattle pitcher Harlem Moncrief visibly frustrated.

Eucliffe expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."

With the win, Cancun pushed its record to 13-11.
