Nashville Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
|
The Nashville Stars have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Cancun Toros, winning 5-4 at Gibson Soundstage today. Stars left-hander Dizzy Stoner threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 runs. The win cuts the deficit facing the Stars to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Conference Finals.
Videl Valor Jr, who finished 5th in the Champions in extra base hits with 70 in 2066, helped out the Nashville cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Stoner told the Nashville Today.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 30th , 2069 at El Coliseo de los Toros in Providence.
