Almost There: Kansas City On Cusp of SF Triumph After 5-2 Win

The Kansas City Hepcats moved to within one game of the World Series today, downing the visiting Louisville Lemurs at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark by a score of 5-2. Hepcats right-hander Biggus Tittious Smittious had a strong outing in which he threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 runs. The win gives the Hepcats a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Semi-FInals.
Ford Lincoln-Mercury dealt the Lemurs a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Kansas City leading 2-1, Lincoln-Mercury, who is the 4th-best prospect in the Hepcats organization, hit a 0-1 screwball for a run-scoring single.
Lincoln-Mercury called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark in Providence.
