Outer Banks Tops Boise Again, 5-4
|
A sweep is in sight.
The Outer Banks Aviators overcame a spirited performance by Boise third baseman Tommy Callahan to knock off the Raptors, 5-4, at Hammond Park in Game 2 of the Divisional Series. Callahan went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once but could not will the Raptors to victory. Outer Banks now sits on a 2-0 advantage and has its eyes on sweeping the best-of-5 series.
Shrimp McDaniel, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. McDaniel contributed a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put Outer Banks up, 2-0.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," McDaniel said after the game.
The next game is set to be played for Thursday, September 20th , 2068 at The Island in Providence.
