Kansas City Tops Amarillo Again, 10-1
|
With starter John Cowgill leading the charge, the Kansas City Hepcats crushed the Amarillo Armadillos, 10-1, in Game 2 of the Semi-FInals today. Cowgill threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod as Kansas City breezed to a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Mengie Brolina? The Kansas City catcher had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Hepcats on top, 1-0. For the game, Brolina had 1 double and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Cowgill.
The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 26th , 2066 at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark in Providence.
