Road Win Lifts Outer Banks to 1-0 Lead in DS
|
The Outer Banks Aviators powered past the hometown San Antonio Sloths, 5-2, in the opener of the Divisional Series at The Treehouse today. Outer Banks starting pitcher Wombat Jones threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Aviators now lead the series 1-0.
Jones was effective for Outer Banks, seldom allowing the Sloths to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 89 pitches over 8 innings. He limited San Antonio to just 2 runs on 4 hits.
"Feels good to get the job done," Jones said after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Treehouse in Providence.
