Raucous The Pot Crowd Propels Crabs to 2-0 Victory; Series Tied at 2
The Providence Crabs and the New York Voyagers will take the Divisional Series to a decisive 5th game. Facing a must-win situation today, the Crabs shut out the Voyagers 2-0 at The Pot to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Providence left-hander James Daly did his part. He threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball.

Daly, a native of Evansville, Indiana, was dealing all game. He kept New York hitters off-balance, while giving the Crabs 8 quality innings. Daly threw 92 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6.

"Every team in baseball loses," Voyagers manager said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."

Game 5 is scheduled for Sunday at Vaughn's House in Providence.
