The Cancun Toros moved to within one game of the Conference Finals today, downing the New Orleans Rougarous on the road at Full Moon Stadium by a score of 3-1. Toros right-hander Usada Pekora had a strong outing. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Toros a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Divisional Series.

The Rougarous had trouble solving Pekora, who surrendered no runs on 2 hits over 6 innings.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Pekora said.

Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at El Coliseo de los Toros in Providence.
