New Orleans and Death Valley got after it at Full Moon Stadium.

The Death Valley Scorpions got a superb performance from first baseman Ted Giannoulas, but the New Orleans Rougarous still won the game, 7-5. Giannoulas was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. With the win, New Orleans upped its record to 14-10.

New Orleans took a 7-5 lead on Odin CheekiSon's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which CheekiSon hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Death Valley pitcher Bubba Blaze visibly frustrated.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," CheekiSon said.
