Taz Blasts Flamingos, Hepcats Take Game 2, 5-3
|
With second baseman Yeti Taz leading the charge, the Kansas City Hepcats defeated the visiting Florida Flamingos, 5-3, in Game 2 of the First Round today. Taz went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark to help Kansas City force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.
The Hepcats took a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing Florida hurler Hex Waters V with one out, Taz hit a 2-run single.
"It feels a lot better to be tied than to be behind, even if it is only one game," Kansas City manager said.
The next game is set to be played for Thursday, September 21st , 2062 at The Mound in Providence.
