Kansas City Breaks Through for First Win in World Series; Now Trails 2-1
|
Behind a bravura effort from starter John Cowgill, the Kansas City Hepcats topped the Louisville Lemurs by the score of 3-0 today and got their first win in the 2066 World Series. Cowgill threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball for the Hepcats. The win narrows Kansas City's deficit to 2-1.
Cowgill gave Kansas City a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 6.1 innings.
"We had a good game plan," Cowgill said, "and we were able to execute it."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark in Providence.
