Firehawks Rally Past Flamingos to Claim 2-1 Series Lead
The California Firehawks nearly wasted a strong game from starter Rusty Shackleford, but were saved by some timely hitting in a 9th inning walk-off win over the Florida Flamingos today.

Shackleford pitched well in the 3-2 win at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons. He threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The win allowed California to seize a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 World Series.

The most significant at-bat for California came with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the ninth. Firehawks right fielder Jazzy Thompson hit a run-scoring double to win the game.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Thompson.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons in Providence.
