The Florida Flamingos powered past the visiting Brew City Bears, 3-2, in the opener of the Semi-FInals at Florida Man Park today. Florida first baseman Link Althouse was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. The Flamingos now lead the series 1-0.

The outcome might have been different had it not been for Althouse. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the Flamingos were trailing 2-1, Althouse delivered a two-out 2-run home run for Florida, giving his team the lead.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Brew City manager .

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Florida Man Park in Providence.
