Road Win Lifts Chicago to 2-1 Lead in SF
|
The rookie looked like he belonged out there.
The Chicago Kingpins sent 20-year-old right-hander Aneeq Bauer III to the mound today for a high-pressure playoff start and he repaid their confidence, quieting the Anchorage Wheelers on a day where the Kingpins struggled to produce runs of their own. In the end, Chicago cobbled together enough to take the 2-1 decision. The win gave Chicago a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 Semi-FInals.
Yneas Kove, the 24-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Kove contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Chicago up, 2-0.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Bauer III.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo in Providence.
