Callahan, Flamingos Sink Kingpins Again in Game 3
|
The Florida Flamingos are one game away from a sweep after downing the visiting Chicago Kingpins at The Mound, 8-2. Flamingos designated hitter Tommy Callahan went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Florida now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 World Series.
Callahan came through for Florida with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. He hit a 2-2 circle change to left field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Callahan.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Mound in Providence.
