Death Valley Scorpions starter Guy Roussy was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the New Orleans Rougarous, 4-2. With the win, Death Valley pushed its record to 15-10.

Death Valley took a 4-2 lead on Daniel Plainview's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Plainview hit in the top of the eighth, left New Orleans pitcher Leo Gonzalez visibly frustrated.

Plainview called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
