Rougarous Squeeze By Nashville, 2-1
|
The Rougarous earned a hard-fought, 2-1 win in 10 innings at Full Moon Stadium. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Nashville pitcher Calvin Ball. Ball went 8 innings and allowed no runs. The third-place Stars have lost 6 consecutive games.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when New Orleans first baseman Aaron Rhysand III, facing Siegmeyer of Catarina, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Rougarous the 2-1 win.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Rougarous manager .
