The Apex kept their hot streak going.

Lew Williams did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Seattle Sea Serpents from being beaten, 7-6, to the Indianapolis Apex at The Aquadome. Williams went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. James Noble collected his 2nd save.

Indianapolis used a timely hit from Leon Rosenthal to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Apex ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"When you're winning, you walk a little taller," said Apex manager .

The Apex, now 16-10, have won 9 in a row.
